The Homestead

Pending Sale SOLD

The "Homestead" -- an exceptional accumulation of five thousand acres of farm and pastureland located in Northern Douglas County. Its history began in the late eighteen hundreds with the 'homestead claim' of William 'Billy' McLean. From that time until the present, expansion of the original claim has been ongoing. Think 'Outside the box' knowing that the supply of land is ever shrinking and the demand for space is ever growing.

The "Homestead" is being sold as one unit, not individual parcels and is offered at $1,000/acre. Sale will be conducted as a private sale with seller's attorney acting as selling/closing agent. Information has been provided by seller from public records. Inquiries: 1-800-659-3045

Nineteen tax parcels zoned RR20, and A-D make up the 4960 1/2 acre property. Seven parcels, making up a total of 2262 3/4 acres are zoned RR20. The remaining twelve parcels, making up a total of 2697 3/4 acres are zoned A-D, with the possible use of 20 acre parcels. Access to the property is by way of a county road (Bridgeport Hill Road). Two springs reside on the property, with a possible third to be confirmed. There is one irrigation well.

Improvements: Home, livestock barn, hay shed, shop, various storage buildings, numerous grain storage bins, and a well stocked, spring fed trout pond.
